The NXP Semiconductors LPC1837JET100E is a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 microcontroller from the LPC1800 family, running at up to 180M Hz with 1MB of on-chip flash memory and 136kB of RAM. It offers an unusually broad peripheral set including Ethernet, USB, CAN, I2C, I2S, SPI, SSP, UART and USART interfaces, an external memory interface, SD and MMC support, four ADC channels, six timer and counter blocks, DMA, and an internal oscillator with brown-out detect, power-on reset and watchdog timer. The device operates from a 2.4V to 3.6V supply with 3.3V nominal operation, provides 49 programmable I/O lines, and dissipates up to 1.5W. It is supplied in a 100-pin TFBGA surface-mount package, is lead free and RoHS compliant, and is rated for -40°C to 105°C operation.
A Cortex-M3 running at 180M Hz with 1MB of flash and a full connectivity set is used as the main controller in equipment that must talk to several networks at once, such as a device bridging Ethernet, USB and CAN while running its own application. The external memory interface and SD or MMC support let designers add display frame buffers, data logging storage, or firmware update media without a second processor. Engineers building industrial automation and motor control gear, communications and gateway equipment, point-of-sale terminals, medical instruments, and HMI panels use this class of part. The -40°C to 105°C rating and 100-pin TFBGA package suit compact industrial boards that must operate in uncontrolled environments.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
