The ISSI IS42S16160J-7BLI-TR is a 256Mb single data rate synchronous DRAM organized 16M by 16 bits and clocked at up to 143M Hz. It uses a parallel interface, operates from a 3V to 3.6V supply, and is supplied in a 54-ball TFBGA surface-mount package on tape and reel. The device is RoHS compliant and rated for -40°C to 85°C industrial temperature operation.
SDR SDRAM remains the working memory of choice for embedded systems whose processors or FPGAs predate DDR interfaces or whose bandwidth needs are modest, including industrial controllers, communications gear, printers, medical instruments, and human-machine interface panels. A 256Mb device gives enough headroom for an embedded operating system, frame buffers, and application data without the routing complexity of a DDR bus. The 54-ball TFBGA package soldered directly to the board suits products built for long service life and vibration resistance. Design engineers frequently select ISSI parts for these designs because of extended-temperature support and long product availability.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
