The STMicroelectronics M24C04-RMC6TG is a 4kb serial EEPROM from the M24C04 series, providing 512 bytes of non-volatile storage over a two-wire I2C interface. It runs at up to 400k Hz with a 900ns access time, operates from 1.8V to 5.5V, and draws 800uA nominal supply current. The M24C04-RMC6TG is housed in an 8-pin surface-mount DFN package and is rated for -40 to 85 degrees C operation. STMicroelectronics supplies the part on tape and reel, RoHS compliant, and lists it in production.
Small serial EEPROMs exist to hold data that must survive power loss but is too small and too frequently rewritten to justify flash, and the M24C04-RMC6TG fills that role with 512 bytes on a two-wire bus. Typical contents are calibration constants, board serial numbers and revision identifiers, user configuration settings, cumulative run-hour counters and consumable or cartridge authentication data. Because the I2C interface needs only two pins and the device runs from 1.8V to 5.5V, it drops onto almost any microcontroller bus without level translation, and the 8-pin DFN keeps the board area small. Buyers are industrial, consumer, medical and automotive-adjacent OEMs adding persistent parameter storage to microcontroller-based designs.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
