The Texas Instruments UCD3138RJAR is a highly integrated digital controller for isolated power supplies, supplied in a 40-pin VQFN package measuring 6 mm x 6 mm with a 1 mm height. Digital power controllers of this type replace fixed-function analog PWM controllers with a programmable control loop, so compensation, protection thresholds and sequencing are set in firmware and can be tuned or telemetered rather than re-spun in hardware.
