The PCA9546ARGVR is a 4-channel I2C/SMBus switch with reset and voltage translation from Texas Instruments. It routes an upstream bus to one of four downstream channels, operates from a 2.3V to 5.5V supply at up to 400k Hz, and is supplied in a 16-pin VQFN package. The lead-free, RoHS-compliant device is in active production and rated for -40 degrees C to 85 degrees C operation.
The PCA9546ARGVR is used to partition and expand I2C buses, isolating downstream sub-buses and resolving conflicts between identical device addresses. Its compact VQFN package suits space-constrained boards. Hardware designers use I2C switches like this in servers, networking gear, and multi-sensor systems to manage bus topology and level translation.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
