The Texas Instruments TCAN1044AVDRQ1 is an automotive-qualified enhanced CAN transceiver with a standby low-power mode, providing a single transceiver channel from a 4.5 V to 5.5 V supply. It is rated over an extended -40 C to 150 C operating range and supplied in an 8-pin SOIC measuring 4.9 mm x 3.91 mm x 1.75 mm on tape and reel. TCAN1044AVDRQ1 is RoHS compliant and in active production.
A CAN transceiver converts the single-ended TXD/RXD signals of a controller into the differential bus levels the CAN physical layer requires, and handles bus fault and ESD stress on behalf of the microcontroller. Standby mode matters in vehicles because nodes must sit on a live bus drawing microamps while the ignition is off, then wake on bus activity. The 150 C rating supports placement near heat sources rather than only in the cabin. Typical applications are body control modules, powertrain and transmission ECUs, EV battery and charging controllers, and in-vehicle sensor and actuator nodes.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
