The Texas Instruments LM74700QDBVRQ1 is an automotive-qualified ideal diode controller that drives an external N-channel MOSFET to emulate a low-loss diode for reverse-polarity and reverse-current protection. It operates over a wide 3.2 V to 65 V range with only about 80 uA of quiescent current. It is supplied in a 6-pin SOT-23 package.
This ideal diode controller is used to replace a Schottky Diode in ORing, reverse-battery, and reverse-current protection circuits, cutting the power loss and heat of a conventional diode. Its wide voltage range and automotive qualification suit vehicle power rails, redundant power sources, and 12 V/24 V/48 V systems. It is common in automotive, industrial, and telecom power front ends.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
