The ADS7138QRTERQ1 from Texas Instruments is an automotive-qualified 8-channel 12-bit successive-approximation analog-to-digital converter with a serial interface, rated at 140ksps. It is supplied in a 16-pin WQFN package with an exposed pad, measuring 3mm by 3mm with an 800µm profile. The ADS7138QRTERQ1 is currently in production at Texas Instruments.

Multi-channel successive-approximation converters digitize several slow to moderate speed analog inputs through one shared converter core, saving board area compared with a converter per channel. The ADS7138QRTERQ1 handles system monitoring tasks such as reading temperature sensors, supply rails, load currents, and potentiometer or position inputs. Automotive qualification makes it appropriate for body control modules, infotainment, battery management, and driver assistance sensor boards. Its 3mm by 3mm footprint also suits space-constrained industrial, medical, and portable monitoring designs.

Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
