The Analog Devices AD620BRZ-R7 is a single-channel instrumentation amplifier in an 8-pin SOIC package, supplied on tape and reel. An instrumentation amplifier provides high-impedance differential inputs with precisely set gain and strong rejection of signals common to both inputs, which is what makes it the front end of choice for small sensor signals riding on large common-mode offsets. This B-grade device is specified with 30uV input offset voltage, 500pA input bias current, 93dB common-mode rejection ratio, 120k Hz bandwidth, and a 1.2V/us slew rate. It runs from single supplies of 4.6V to 36V or dual supplies of 2.3V to 18V, drawing 900uA nominal, and is rated from -40C to +85C.
Instrumentation amplifiers of this class sit directly at the sensor in precision measurement chains: bridge-based load cells and pressure transducers, strain gauges, thermocouple and RTD front ends, ECG and other biopotential amplifiers, and 4-20mA current-loop receivers. The high CMRR and low bias current are what let a millivolt-level differential signal be recovered from a noisy industrial or medical environment. Buyers are typically analog and instrumentation design engineers, medical and test equipment OEMs, and industrial sensor manufacturers.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
