The AD629ARZ-R7 is an Analog Devices single-channel difference amplifier supplied in an 8-pin SOIC package on tape and reel. It is configured for unity gain (0 dB) and provides 86 dB common-mode rejection and 84 dB power supply rejection, with a 200 uV input offset voltage. Analog Devices rates the AD629ARZ-R7 at 500 k Hz bandwidth, a 2.1 V/us slew rate, 15 us settling time and 25 mA output current per channel, drawing about 1 mA from a dual supply spanning 2.5 V to 18 V. The device is RoHS compliant and rated -40 C to +85 C with a 150 C maximum junction temperature.

Difference amplifiers extract a small differential signal that sits on top of a large common-mode voltage, which is the defining problem in current sensing across a shunt on a high-side rail. The AD629ARZ-R7 is used in exactly that role, along with isolated-ground voltage measurement, motor current monitoring, and interfacing sensor bridges or 4-20 mA loops to a single-ended ADC input. Its 86 dB common-mode rejection is what determines how much of the unwanted common-mode signal is suppressed before the measurement reaches the converter. Typical buyers are industrial instrumentation and process control designers, motor drive and power supply engineers, automotive electronics teams and test equipment manufacturers.

Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
