The Texas Instruments INA193AIDBVR is a single-channel current sense amplifier that measures voltage across a shunt resistor at common-mode levels from -16V to 80V, independent of its own supply. It provides 500k Hz bandwidth, a fixed 26.02dB voltage gain, 2mV input offset voltage, and a 1V/µs slew rate, with 80dB common-mode rejection and 106dB power supply rejection. The device operates from 2.7V to 18V while drawing 900µA and is rated for -40°C to 125°C. INA193AIDBVR is supplied in a 5-pin SOT-23 package measuring 2.9mm by 1.6mm on tape and reel.
A current sense amplifier reads the small differential voltage across a shunt resistor and outputs a ground-referenced signal an ADC or comparator can use, which is how a system measures current without a dedicated current transducer. The defining capability here is that the common-mode range extends to 80V and below ground to -16V while the part itself runs on a low-voltage rail, allowing high-side sensing on rails far above the amplifier supply. That suits 12V, 24V, and 48V systems: motor drives and servo controllers, telecom and industrial power supplies, battery management and charger circuits, solenoid and valve drivers, and automotive load monitoring. Negative common-mode capability additionally allows sensing on rails that swing below ground during inductive switching, which is common in motor and relay applications.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
