The Texas Instruments AMC1311BDWVR is a reinforced isolated amplifier for precision voltage sensing, with a 2V input range as identified in its product title. A reinforced isolated amplifier passes an analog measurement across a galvanic barrier, so the sensing input and the output side can sit at very different potentials while remaining safely separated. The AMC1311BDWVR is supplied in an 8-pin wide-body surface-mount SOIC measuring 5.85mm by 7.5mm with a 2.8mm height, the wide body providing the creepage and clearance that reinforced isolation requires. It is rated for -55 to 125 degrees C operation, is RoHS compliant, and Texas Instruments lists it in active production.
Isolated amplifiers are used wherever a low-voltage controller has to measure a node that floats at high potential, and the classic application is DC-link and high-side voltage sensing in power conversion. That places the AMC1311BDWVR in solar inverters, motor drives and servo controllers, uninterruptible power supplies, electric-vehicle traction inverters and onboard chargers, and industrial power supplies with isolated feedback. The reinforced grade is specified when a single component must provide the safety barrier on its own rather than as one of two basic barriers, which matters for equipment certified to mains-connected safety standards. Buyers are industrial drive, renewable-energy and automotive power-electronics manufacturers, with the -55 to 125 degrees C range supporting harsh installation environments.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
