The Texas Instruments SN74LVC2T45DCUR is a 2-bit dual-supply bus transceiver and voltage-level translator in an 8-pin VSSOP package. Both supply rails accept 1.65 V to 5.5 V, allowing translation in either direction between any two voltages in that range, and the outputs are non-inverting push-pull. It handles data rates up to 420 Mbps with a 45.2 ns propagation delay, sources or sinks 32 mA per output, and draws 3 uA quiescent current. The device operates from -40 C to +85 C and is RoHS compliant, lead free, MSL 1 rated, and supplied on tape and reel in quantities of 3, 000.
This 2-bit translator is used to bridge a pair of digital signals between two voltage domains, for example the clock and data lines of an SPI or I2S link between a 1.8 V processor and a 3.3 V peripheral. Because it has an explicit direction control and push-pull outputs rather than auto-sensing, it drives longer traces and heavier loads than an auto-direction translator. Typical users include designers of embedded processor boards, mobile and portable devices, sensor and camera interfaces, and mixed-voltage industrial I/O. The 32 mA drive strength also allows it to serve as a small buffer or line driver.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
