The SN74AVC4T245PWR from Texas Instruments is a four-bit dual-supply bus transceiver with configurable voltage-level shifting, part of the AVC series. A dual-supply translator carries logic signals between two sections of a board running at different voltages, with each side referenced to its own supply so that neither domain sees an out-of-range level. The SN74AVC4T245PWR provides 4 non-inverting channels across 2 elements, operates from 1.2V to 3.6V on each supply, and delivers ±12mA output drive with a 2.9ns propagation delay and 80µA quiescent current. It is supplied in a 16-pin TSSOP measuring 5mm by 4.4mm with a 1.2mm height, rated for -40°C to 85°C, lead free and RoHS compliant, in tape and reel.

Level-shifting bus transceivers are placed wherever a modern low-voltage processor has to talk to older or higher-voltage logic, such as a 1.8V SoC driving 3.3V peripherals, memory, sensors, or external connectors. The bidirectional four-bit width suits control buses, SPI and parallel interfaces, and general-purpose I/O groups, and the push-pull output with 12mA drive supports moderate bus loading and cable runs. Designers also use these parts to protect a low-voltage device from a higher-voltage domain. Buyers are typically embedded, computing, industrial, and consumer hardware OEMs and their contract manufacturers.

Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
