The Texas Instruments SN74CBTLV3253RGYR is a low-voltage CMOS bus switch configured as a dual multiplexer and demultiplexer, providing eight inputs routed to two outputs in an SP4T throw configuration. It operates from a 2.3V to 3.6V single supply, offers roughly 40 ohms of switch resistance with 200M Hz bandwidth and a 250ps propagation delay, and is non-inverting with 128mA of high-level and low-level output drive. The device is supplied in a 16-pin VQFN package with an exposed pad, measuring 4mm by 3.5mm by 1mm, on tape and reel. It is lead free, RoHS compliant, in production, and rated for -40°C to 85°C operation.
CMOS bus switches of this type are used to route one of several signal sources onto a shared bus, or to fan a single bus out to multiple destinations, without adding the delay and level shifting of an active buffer. The very low 250ps propagation delay and 200M Hz bandwidth suit high-speed signal steering where timing budgets are tight, such as memory, port, and peripheral selection. Designers of networking equipment, computing motherboards, industrial data acquisition boards, and portable systems use this class of part for 3.3V and 2.5V bus multiplexing. The 16-pin VQFN with exposed pad keeps board area small while providing a solid thermal and ground connection.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
