The Infineon IR2101STRPBF is a 600 V high-side and low-side gate driver IC housed in an 8-pin SOIC package. It provides two independent output channels with 130 mA output current capability, a 20 V maximum supply and output voltage, and matched 50 ns turn-on and turn-off propagation delays, with a total propagation delay of 220 ns. The device operates from 10 V to 20 V across a -40 C to 125 C temperature range and is RoHS compliant, lead free, and free of declared REACH SVHC substances. A high-voltage gate driver of this type translates low-voltage logic signals into the gate drive levels a power switch half-bridge requires, including the floating high-side reference.
The IR2101STRPBF is used to drive the upper and lower power switches of a half-bridge in offline and high-voltage power conversion stages. Designers pair it with MOSFETs or IGBTs in motor drive inverters, switch-mode power supplies, uninterruptible power supplies, induction heating, lighting ballasts, and Class-D audio output stages, where the 600 V rating allows direct operation from rectified mains. The independent channel architecture lets the controller set dead time in firmware rather than relying on a fixed internal delay. Purchasers are typically industrial drive, appliance, and power supply manufacturers, plus repair and contract manufacturing operations sustaining installed equipment.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
