The Texas Instruments TPS2421-2DDAR is a single-channel hot-swap controller for positive supplies up to 20V, with an integrated N-channel path featuring a 33m Ohm on-state resistance and up to 6A output current. It is supplied in an 8-pin HSOIC (SOIC with exposed pad) package rated to 125C, and is active and RoHS-compliant.
A hot-swap controller like the TPS2421-2DDAR safely manages the inrush current when a board or module is inserted into a live backplane, protecting against surges and faults. It is used in servers, storage arrays, networking line cards and other hot-pluggable systems where cards must be added or removed without disrupting the supply.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
