The TPS259824ONRGER is a Texas Instruments smart electronic fuse (e Fuse) with an accurate load-current monitor, rated for 15A of output current across a 2.7V to 24V input range with 2.7 milliohms of on-state resistance. It is supplied in a 24-pin VQFN package measuring 4mm x 4mm and draws 800uA of nominal supply current. An e Fuse integrates the pass FET, current limiting, overvoltage and thermal protection into one device, replacing a discrete hot-swap controller, external MOSFET, sense resistor and fuse. Texas Instruments lists it at Production/Active lifecycle status, RoHS compliant, rated -40C to +125C with a 125C maximum junction temperature.
High-current e Fuses are used to protect and control 12V and 24V power feeds on hot-pluggable and high-availability hardware: server and storage backplanes, PCIe and OCP card power entry, networking line cards, industrial DIN-rail power distribution, and battery and telecom -48V-derived rails. The integrated current monitor lets a board management controller read actual load current for telemetry and power budgeting without adding a separate sense amplifier. Buyers are datacenter and networking hardware designers, industrial power distribution OEMs, and sourcing teams supporting boards designed around the TPS2598xx family.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
