The Texas Instruments TLC59281RGER is a 16-channel constant-current LED driver without LED open detection, operating from a 3 V to 5.5 V supply with a 35 MHz data clock. Each of the 16 outputs sinks up to 35 mA at an output voltage rating of 17 V, with 3.106 W maximum power dissipation and 2 mA maximum supply current. TLC59281RGER is supplied in a 24-pin VQFN measuring 4 mm x 4 mm x 1 mm on tape and reel, rated -40 C to 85 C, lead-free, RoHS compliant and REACH SVHC-free.
Multi-channel constant-current LED drivers with a serial interface let one controller drive large LED arrays with matched brightness while using few microcontroller pins, since devices cascade in a chain. A 35 MHz clock supports high refresh rates, which matters for scanned matrix displays that would otherwise flicker on camera. Typical applications are LED signage and message boards, video and matrix display panels, backlighting, and industrial indicator arrays. Buyers are display module manufacturers, signage OEMs, and lighting control designers.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
