The TPS92610QPWPRQ1 is a single-channel linear LED driver from Texas Instruments in a 14-pin HTSSOP package with PWM dimming. It supplies up to 450 mA of output current from a 4.5 V to 40 V input and draws a maximum of 250 uA supply current. The device operates from -40 C to +125 C with a 150 C maximum junction temperature. It is halogen-free, lead-free and rated MSL 3.
Single-channel linear LED drivers with wide input ranges are used for automotive exterior and interior lighting, including tail lamps, daytime running lights, indicators and cabin illumination, as well as industrial signal and indicator lighting. The 4.5 V to 40 V range covers a 12 V vehicle rail through load-dump and cold-crank excursions, and PWM dimming provides brightness control without shifting LED colour point. Automotive lighting Tier 1 suppliers and industrial luminaire designers are the typical buyers. The thermally enhanced HTSSOP body requires a soldered exposed pad and board copper to carry the dissipation of linear regulation.
