The Texas Instruments TPS54525PWPR is a synchronous step-down (buck) switching regulator that accepts a 4.5V to 18V input and delivers up to 5.5A from a single adjustable output. It switches at 650k Hz and is supplied in a 14-pin HTSSOP package with an exposed pad for surface mounting. The part is rated for operation from -40°C to 85°C and is RoHS compliant and lead free.

The TPS54525PWPR is used to step an intermediate supply rail, such as 5V or 12V, down to the lower voltages needed by processors, FPGAs, memory and other point-of-load circuits. Its 5.5A output capability and synchronous rectification suit designers of networking equipment, set-top boxes, industrial controllers and computing boards who need an efficient, compact buck stage. The exposed-pad HTSSOP package helps move heat into the PCB in space-constrained layouts.

Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
