The Nexperia PESD12VV1BL,315 is a single-channel bidirectional zener-based ESD and surge protection diode in a 2-pin DFN package. It has a 12V reverse standoff and working voltage, a 15.7V breakdown voltage with a 14.6V minimum, and clamps at 38V while absorbing 7.8A peak pulse current and 290W peak pulse power. The PESD12VV1BL,315 presents 25pF of capacitance and leaks 10nA, in a 1.02mm body 620µm deep. It is specified from -55°C to 150°C and supplied on tape and reel in 10000-piece quantities.
A 12V standoff bidirectional suppressor is fitted to automotive 12V rails and to the exposed I/O of 12V-powered equipment, where load transients and electrostatic discharge both need to be absorbed.
