The onsemi NRVB130T1G is a single surface mount Schottky barrier diode rated 30V reverse with a 1A average rectified current. A Schottky Diode uses a metal-semiconductor junction rather than a PN junction, which gives it a lower forward voltage and faster recovery than a standard rectifier. The NRVB130T1G drops 470mV forward, withstands 5.5A of non-repetitive surge current and leaks 60µA in reverse. It comes in a 2-pin SOD-123 package measuring 2.84mm by 1.8mm, is lead-free, RoHS compliant and specified from -65°C to 125°C.
Schottky Diodes at 30V and 1A are used wherever the forward drop costs efficiency or the recovery time costs switching loss: output rectification in low-voltage DC-DC converters, freewheeling across inductive loads, reverse polarity and reverse current blocking at power inputs, and ORing between redundant supplies. The low forward voltage matters most on 3.3V and 5V rails where a silicon diode's drop would waste a large fraction of the output. Power supply and automotive board designers buy these in reel volumes.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
