The onsemi MC74HC4053ADTR2G is a triple single-pole double-throw (SPDT) analog multiplexer and demultiplexer from the 74HC family, in a 16-pin TSSOP. Each of the three channels routes an analog or digital signal between one common terminal and two selectable terminals, and because CMOS switches are bidirectional the same device works as either a mux or a demux. It runs from a 2V to 6V single supply or a 1V to 6V dual supply, presents about 100Ω of switch resistance, and passes signals to 120M Hz. Quiescent supply current is 40µA and the part is rated from -55°C to 125°C.
Triple SPDT analog switches are used to route signals under logic control: selecting between sensor inputs ahead of a single ADC, switching audio or video paths, steering three-channel signals such as RGB or a three-phase set, and swapping test or calibration sources into a measurement chain. Dual-supply operation lets the MC74HC4053ADTR2G handle bipolar analog signals that swing below ground, which single-supply switches cannot. The -55°C to 125°C rating extends its use into automotive, industrial, and aerospace assemblies beyond the consumer audio and instrumentation designs where the 4053 has been a standard part for decades. Buyers include instrumentation, audio equipment, and industrial control designers, and it is frequently specified as a drop-in replacement in long-lived designs.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
