The onsemi MC74HC595ADTR2G is an MC74HC595A series 8-bit serial-in, serial or parallel-out shift register in a 16-pin TSSOP surface-mount package. It operates from a 2V to 6V supply at clock frequencies up to 35M Hz with a low 4µA quiescent current. The device is in production, RoHS compliant, MSL 1 rated, and specified for -55°C to 125°C operation.
The MC74HC595ADTR2G is used to expand microcontroller outputs, converting a few serial lines into eight parallel outputs that can be cascaded for more. Common uses include driving LEDs, seven-segment displays, relays, and other indicator or control loads.
