The Panasonic 6TPF330M9L is a conductive polymer tantalum solid capacitor from the POSCAP family, rated 330µF at 6.3V with 20% tolerance. It offers 9mΩ equivalent series resistance and handles 3.9A of ripple current, in a 2917 imperial (7343 metric) surface-mount case measuring 7.3mm x 4.3mm with a 2.8mm height. The polymer electrolyte gives markedly lower ESR than a conventional wet tantalum or aluminium electrolytic of the same size, which is what allows the high ripple rating. Rated life is 2000 hours and the operating range is -55°C to 105°C.
The 6TPF330M9L is used for output filtering and decoupling on low-voltage, high-current power rails. Its 9mΩ ESR and 3.9A ripple rating make it well suited to the output of a point-of-load buck converter feeding a CPU, GPU, FPGA or ASIC core, where transient response and ripple suppression matter and board height is constrained. It also serves as bulk input decoupling near switching regulators and as a hold-up capacitor on 5V and 3.3V rails. Server and networking hardware, graphics cards, storage controllers, industrial computing boards and high-end consumer electronics all use POSCAP devices in this role. The 6.3V rating targets 1.0V to 3.3V rails with appropriate derating margin.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
