The Yageo RC0201FR-07100KL is a 100 k Ohm thick film chip resistor in an 0201 (0603 metric) case, with a 1% tolerance, a 50 mW (1/20 W) power rating, a 25V voltage rating and a 200 ppm/C temperature coefficient. The chip measures 609.6um by 304.8um with a 280um profile and is specified across a wide -55C to 125C range. Thick film construction screens a resistive paste onto a ceramic substrate and laser-trims it to value, which is what makes it the lowest-cost resistor technology at volume. The part is lead-free, RoHS compliant and supplied in tape and reel; note the record carries a 'Military Standard' field holding the value 'Not', which is a placeholder rather than a specification.
100 k Ohm is one of the most-used values on any board: a high-value pull-up or pull-down where the leakage current must stay negligible, the upper leg of a feedback or bias divider, the input divider ahead of a high-impedance ADC or comparator, and the timing resistor in an RC network. The 1% tolerance is specified wherever a 5% part would move a divider ratio or a comparator threshold beyond the design margin. An 0201 case is chosen when a BGA escape region or a dense module leaves no room for an 0402, at the cost of finer assembly rules and only 50 mW of dissipation headroom. Boards at that density consume the part in high volume and buy it in full reels rather than cut tape.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
