The Microchip AT86RF233-ZUR is a 2.4G Hz Zig Bee transceiver supplied in a 32-pin QFN package for industrial applications. It supports data rates up to 2Mbps across 16 channels with a 2.8M Hz bandwidth, reaching up to 2.48G Hz, and delivers -101d Bm sensitivity. The device runs from a 1.8V to 3.6V supply at 3V nominal, drawing 11.8mA receiving and 13.8mA transmitting, and interfaces to a host over SPI with 128B of memory. AT86RF233-ZUR is lead free, RoHS compliant, rated for -40°C to 85°C operation, and supplied on tape and reel.
This transceiver provides the radio front end for low-power mesh networks built on Zig Bee and related 2.4G Hz standards, pairing with a host microcontroller over SPI. Typical deployments include building automation, smart lighting, metering, industrial sensor networks, asset tracking, and home automation nodes that run on batteries or harvested power. Embedded and RF designers select parts with this sensitivity and current profile where node lifetime and link range determine the viability of the network.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
