The L298P013TR is a brushed DC motor driver from STMicroelectronics in a 20-pin PowerSO surface-mount package, providing four output channels that can be used as two full bridges or four half bridges. It is rated for a 46 V collector-emitter voltage with a 930 m Ohm drain-to-source resistance, a 4 A maximum collector current and a 2 A maximum output current per channel, and it accepts logic and parallel control inputs. The supply range is recorded as 4.5 V to 36 V with a 50 mA operating supply current, and the switching frequency is 25 k Hz. Maximum power dissipation is 25 W over a -40 C to 130 C range.
Dual full-bridge drivers are used for bidirectional brushed DC motor control and for bipolar stepper motors, appearing in printers and office automation, robotics and hobby platforms, valve and damper actuators, industrial positioning stages and automotive accessory motors. Because the driver takes logic-level direction and enable inputs directly, a microcontroller can control speed and direction without additional level-shifting hardware. Buyers are motion-control, robotics and industrial-equipment OEMs, including service operations sustaining long-lived designs. Note that the catalogue record also carries an Operating Supply Voltage of 42 V that exceeds the recorded 36 V maximum supply voltage; that value has been excluded here and flagged for correction.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
