The NVIDIA (Mellanox) MMA1B00-C100D is a 100GbE QSFP28 multi-mode optical transceiver module using 100GBASE-SR4 with NRZ modulation. It transmits at 850nm over an MPO-12 connector for reaches up to 100m and dissipates 3.5W from a 3.3V supply.
This SR4 transceiver is used for short-reach 100GbE links inside data centers over multimode fiber, typically switch-to-switch and switch-to-server. It is deployed by network operators building cost-effective QSFP28 connectivity across rows and racks.
