The MFP7E10-N050 is an NVIDIA passive multimode fiber optic cable assembly, 50 m long, terminated in MPO12 APC connectors at both ends. Built on OM3 multimode fiber operating at 850 nm, the MFP7E10-N050 supports data rates up to 400GbE and is qualified for Infini Band NDR. It uses an OFNR-rated low smoke zero halogen jacket and has a minimum bend radius of 7.5 mm.
MPO12 trunk cables carry all twelve fibers of a parallel optical link in a single connector, which is what 400G and NDR Infini Band transceivers require, and they are what physically connects switch ports to server or storage endpoints across a datacenter row. A 50 m length places the MFP7E10-N050 in intra-row and row-to-row runs rather than long-haul. AI cluster builders, HPC integrators and datacenter network teams deploy these alongside the matching transceivers, and the LSZH jacket is required by fire codes in many datacenter and plenum installations. Multimode is chosen over single-mode at these distances for lower transceiver cost.
