The Sony IMX307LQR-G is a Type 1/2.8 (6.46mm diagonal) CMOS image sensor with square pixels for colour cameras. It has an effective array of 1945 x 1097 pixels at a 2.9µm pixel pitch and runs at up to 60fps with a rolling shutter. The IMX307LQR-G outputs over LVDS or MIPI CSI-2 and is supplied in a CLCC package.

Sensors in this optical format and pixel pitch are chosen for surveillance and security cameras, where a relatively large pixel on a 1/2.8-inch array favours low-light sensitivity over pixel count. The 60fps rolling shutter readout suits continuous video capture rather than fast-moving machine vision, which normally requires a global shutter. MIPI CSI-2 output connects directly to the image signal processor in most camera SoC platforms. Buyers are typically security camera OEMs, video module makers and embedded vision integrators.
