The NVIDIA MMS4A00-XM is a Mellanox-branded twin port optical transceiver module supporting 1600Gb/s over an OSFP interface with dual MPO connectors. It is a DR4 parallel transceiver operating at 1310nm over single mode fiber for reach up to 500m, and it includes an integrated heat spreader. The module dissipates 33.5W and is rated for 0°C to 70°C operation. MMS4A00-XM is supplied in trays with a package quantity of 50.

This module targets the highest-density optical interconnect tier in AI training clusters, high performance computing fabrics, and next-generation data center spine-leaf networks. The twin port design lets a single OSFP cage carry 1600Gb/s of aggregate capacity across two MPO fiber pairs, supporting breakout from spine switches into compute nodes at up to 500m. Hyperscale operators, AI infrastructure builders, and switch OEMs deploy transceivers at this data rate where per-port bandwidth and faceplate density are the limiting constraints.
