The MMS4X00-NM-FLT is an NVIDIA (Mellanox brand) twin-port OSFP optical transceiver module rated at 800 Gb/s aggregate, delivered as two independent 400 Gbps ports. The MMS4X00-NM-FLT operates at 1310 nm over single-mode fiber and terminates in two MPO-12/APC connectors, supporting reach up to 500 m. It uses a flat-top OSFP housing rather than a finned one, which is the variant intended for externally cooled switch and host ports.
Twin-port OSFP transceivers are used in AI and high performance computing fabrics where one switch cage must feed two downstream 400 Gbps endpoints, halving the switch ports needed for a given radix.
